Chrysler Lays Out Ambitious Future Plans
Between the Detroit Auto Show back in January, and the New York Auto Show last month, it’s clear that the Chrysler Group has a lot of new models coming down the pike. But, as we found out on Monday, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Every brand under the Chrysler umbrella will be getting updates over the next four years, along with some all-new models we’re just learning about.
This news was announced at a recent meeting with the Auburn Hills automaker. Among the tantalizing news items was an announcement regarding the remarriage of the Dodge and SRT brands, which have existed as separate entities for a while.
There was also quite a bit of exciting news regarding new and refreshed models.
Among them is the launch of all new models from Chrysler itself. A new Chrysler 100 is on the way, along with a next-generation Town & Country minivan complete with PHEV tech. In 2017, a full size CUV will join the lineup.
There is also excitement in the Dodge world, as well. The new Dodge Charger and Challenger will hit showrooms later this year, and the Dart is due for a refresh in 2016. Additionally, we’ve also heard that the Challenger SRT is on its way, with the 6.2L HEMI V8 Hellcat, as rumored.
